GT offers locked bike storage on the garage level.
The door to the bike room has two locks, the doorknob lock and a dead bolt lock. The doorknob lock does lock automatically when the door is closed. You will need to set the deadbolt lock when you exit this room. One key opens both locks.
If you want to store a bike in the bike storage room, you are required to register your bike with the Community Association Manager (CAM). Once registered, you will be provided with a tag, and a key to the bike storage room. Only registered and tagged bikes can be stored in the bike storage room.

Sarasota and her islands offer nice areas for bicycling and a number of major streets, as well as the Ringling Bridge, are marked for bike lanes. Try Legacy Trail or the route to Anna Maria Island, too, for flat road, long-distance biking.
A list of bike trails is listed under Local/Events-Entertainment, Sports & More
GT experienced the theft of several bikes 2013. Due to this, they created a more controlled environment including engaging the dead bolt lock and requiring registration of each bike.
It is up to the bike owner to take the extra precaution of securing their bike in the room.
Please remember this storage room is a restricted area only, not a secure area, and is used at the owner's risk.
